Take this with a grain of salt, as the original site that has spawned this rumor has cited no official source and won’t. According to this source, there are whispers that despite Iwata squashing the rumor of the Netflix Legend of Zelda series, it’s actually going to debut on Amazon instead.
According to this rumor, the pilot for the series will be shot in August in both New York and Savannah, Georgia. The show will debut among Amazon’s next pilot season, where Amazon showcases several series pilots and lets their Prime customers choose which shows are made into a full season for viewing. Amazon has had several successful pilot seasons, with shows like The Man in the High Castle and Hand of God picked up for full seasons, set to debut sometime in 2016.
