Nintendo has posted a short video reminder to their official YouTube account urging Nintendo fans and Wii U owners to participate in this upcoming Global Testfire event for Splatoon. The game launches on May 29 and Nintendo has already hosted one demo period the previous weekend. This will be the final demo opportunity for Splatoon before the release of the game, so if you haven’t experienced it any of Nintendo’s events or the previous weekend, this is your chance.
Times for the event are as follows:
- Sat. May 23 – 3pm – PST
- Sat. May 23 – 6pm – EST
- Sat. May 23 – 11pm – BST
- Sun. May 24 – 12am – CEST
You’ll be able to play the 4v4 Turf Wars for a time period of one hour during the beta period. This is Nintendo’s testing of the servers handling many multiplayer sessions going at once, so if you plan on playing the game immediately upon release, its within your best interest to play the demo so Nintendo can properly stress test the servers.
