With the upcoming release of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse in Japan this month, Nintendo Japan has released a short 28 second video that showcases amiibo compatibility support. The game will be released on January 22 in Japan, followed by Feburary 13 in North America. Europe does not have a solid release date yet and the estimated dates put it at a Q3/Q4 release for 2015, so much later than both Japan and North America.
The following amiibo will be compatible with the game:
- Kirby – Perform a Star Dash at any time
- Meta Knight – Wear a Meta Knight mask and increase your offensive ability
- King Dedede – Wear a King Dedede hat and increase your physical strength
