Japanese Wii U sales: Wii U at 8k, Hyrule Warriors slips

This week’s Japanese sales are interesting because the long reigning number one title Yokai Watch 2 has finally slipped from the spot it’s held for nearly two months. The title that takes the number one spot is Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

Wii U sales remain steady at 8k, though Hyrule Warriors has completely slipped out of the top ten sellers this week, landing at the number fourteen spot with just under 8k sold. The Xbox One is also launching in Japan this week, though there is little fanfare for the system there. We’ll see next week whether or not Microsoft’s Japanese launch bundle that includes Titanfall, Dance Central, and another title.
