Japanese Wii U eShop gets an NES Remix 2 music makeover

Similar to what Nintendo did when Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze finally released in February, it looks like they’ve changed up the music you hear when you visit the Wii U eShop in Japan. Instead of the standard music, you’re greeted with the dulcet tones of the 8-bit era games from the newest remix. Perhaps we’ll find the same thing when we visit the Wii U eShop tomorrow in order to download the game. If you don’t hear the music, be sure and turn it on since this is a Vine, not a standard video with a play button.

If playing new version of old NES games isn’t something that tickles your fancy, remember the producer of the NES Remix series said he’d love to do the same with some of Nintendo’s other consoles, including the SNES and the N64. 8-bit glory may not be your thing, but there’s always a chance we could see more remixes, especially if they continue to be received well.
