Indie developer: Wii U to be another hit

Pinball Arcade Wii U
Developer Farsight Studios has some kind words for the Nintendo Wii U. Farsight, developers of the indie hit Pinball Arcade, were very popular on the original Wii. Company president Jay Obernach says that the original Wii was their most successful platform ever, and that he believes “Nintendo potentially has another hit on its hands” with the Wii U. Speaking to Nintendo Life, he said that the company is working on GamePad integration for the Wii U version of its next pinball game. The tablet will show the pinball table DMD display, which will free up the television screen for more details and more of the pinball table.

Farsight previously revealed a Kickstarter page to help fund their next title. This helped the company raise almost $80,000 for their upcoming arcade game. That money will help development of Pinball Arcade: The Twilight Zone, which is also coming to the Wii U and 3DS. It’s good to see that independent developers are optimistic about the Wii U and the possibilities it brings to their games.
