In their latest newsletter, Square Enix announced that the “Temporal Battle Arena” will be coming to I Am Setsuna on April 13th as a Nintendo Switch exclusive mode.
The free mode acts as a PvP workaround of sorts. Instead of real-time action against online players, you’ll upload your player data to Square Enix’s servers. From there, other players can battle your computer-controlled characters or you can do battle against them. Think of it like ghost data for an RPG.
Competing in this matches will earn you rewards too, as the trailer above shows with relaxing music.
