Hyrule Warriors scores very high in Famitsu

Last night we had a Nintendo Direct focused on the upcoming release of Hyrule Warriors, which scored very well from Japanese publisher Famitsu. Famitsu is notoriously rough on games when it comes to reviewing them, as a panel of four reviewers score the game based on several factors. Hyrule Warriors managed to secure 9s all the way around, giving it a final score of 9/9/9/9. To put that into perspective Mario Kart 8 garnered a 9/9/9/10, while Super Mario 3D World received a 9/10/9/10.

If these scores are any indication of quality, it seems as though Hyrule Warriors will do particularly well in Japan, where it is releasing later this month. The rest of the world will have to wait to get their hands on the game, though Nintendo of Europe has confirmed a Hyrule Warriors special edition for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We’re still waiting for confirmation on a special edition for North America.

Hyrule Warriors releases on September 26 in North America and Europe.
