A new update has come out for Hyrule Warriors in Japan, this update adds Cia, Wizzro and Volga to game as playable characters. They’re mostly as functional as the other characters, you can fight with them and buy upgrades for them in the shop and level them up, but as of yet you can’t unlock new weapons or heart pieces for them. Supposedly, you’ll be able to unlock new weapons and heart pieces for them in the upcoming Master Quest DLC; The DLC will also give them their own story mode, which will give a bit of a prologue on how the three met and why they’re invading Hyrule. Of course that’s not all that was revealed today, some more footage gives us an early look at some of the DLC that will be coming out later this year. We can see some gameplay of Link fighting with Epona, which gives him a new moveset which involves a lot of dashing and running over opponents:
There was also a new costume revealed for Lana and Cia, referencing the two character’s shared history. There were also two other costumes revealed for Cia, but those are just some of her other looks from the story. Although I think it’s worth warning you that all four of the above videos for Lana and Cia contain some spoilers for the story.
