HP came waltzing into the Chromebook market with the largest screen we have seen a Chrome OS device sport. This makes the HP Chromebook 14 the computer to have for those who want Chrome on a larger display, but it also drove away many of us portable laptop lovers. Thankfully, a new leak is proving that HP is willing to cater to the rest of the market by releasing an HP Chromebook 11.
The leak comes from HP’s Energy Star qualification list, which lists an unannounced HP Chromebook 11. No details come from the manufacturer, but a Best Buy tipster has also given us a bit of proof that the smaller device is coming. Not only that, but it looks like quite the interesting Chromebook.
The device is said to come with an 11.6-inch HD display, 6.5 hours of battery life, HP’s TrueVision HD camera and 100 GB of free Google Drive storage for 2 years. But the most noticeable feature is Beats Audio support, which makes the Chromebook 11 a first of its kind.
HP has a strong history with Beats Audio on their computer line-up, but this is the first time we see the audio enhancement software coming to a Chrome OS computer. BestBuy is has a page ready, so it should be only a matter of time before the Chromebook 11 hits the market. Let’s wait a bit to hear more about other specs, availability and price.
The new HP Chromebook 14 is only $299, so we can assume the 11-incher will be more affordable than that.
