Have you heard these 7 hidden songs in Breath of the Wild? [VIDEO]

One of the best things about Breath of the Wild is the departure the game takes from series classics like familiar music. If you watch any gameplay video you might be struck by how different the music is in Breath of the Wild, it’s there to accentuate your adventure rather than to highlight it. But fear not, Nintendo has cleverly hidden those classic Zelda tunes you know and love in the game. You just have to know where to look for them.

What’s even better is that songs from the Temple of Time as it appears in Ocarina of Time also appear in Breath of the Wild, but in a much more broken state, much like the Temple of time itself. This interesting choice in layering the notes of old music throughout the game is truly a treat to the ears of the keen Zelda player.

Hidden Breath of the Wild Songs

  • Great Fairy Fountain
  • Epona’s Song
  • The Legend of Zelda Theme
  • Zelda’s Lullaby
  • Dragon Roost Island Theme
  • Zora’s Domain Theme

There’s plenty more hidden that weren’t highlighted in the videos above, have you found them all? Classic songs turn up in the most unexpected places and you’ll have to tune your ears a bit to hear them, since the songs have often been sped up, slowed down, or reworked a bit to fit into the new context of the broken world in Breath of the Wild.

Hearing all of these hidden songs makes me want to pick up Ocarina of Time on my Nintendo 3DS just to play it again to hear them in their original glory. Let us know what classic songs you’ve discovered in the comments!
