Here’s the latest Assassin’s Creed 4 trailer

For those of you excited about Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, a new trailer was released today that gives a bit more insight into the historical time period typically known as the Golden Age of Piracy. The trailer mentions the year 1713, when Spain had a stronghold on the Caribbean and England was a mere shadow of its presence in the late 18th century. Other famous pirates are mentioned as well, including Benjamin Hornigold, Blackbeard, and “Calico Jack” Rackham. Hopefully each of these colorful characters will lend well to the story.

A few notable names from that period that are missing include Black Bart and Calico Jack’s two female pirate crew, Anne Bonny and Mary Read. Hopefully we’ll see them as well. As a person with a long time interest in this period of history, I’m excited to see it come to life in Ubisoft’s new game, especially considering the amazing job they did incorporating all the events of the Italian Renaissance into Assassin’s Creed 2 and its sequels. What about you?
