A new video shows every single one of them, from jumping, running, falling, climbing, etc. Most of these we don’t notice when we’re playing the game, but it’s what made Super Mario 64 feel natural and fresh every time you played it, because Mario would react realistically to the world around him.

It’s fascinating to see just how many animations Nintendo put into its main character in Super Mario 64. And they made all of these without using fancy motion-capture.
