Hackers install Linux on Switch and claim Nintendo can’t do anything about it

It was only a matter of time before someone managed to install Linux on the Nintendo Switch. After all, they’ve installed it on pretty much everything with a transistor.

The group “Failoverflow” posted a photo of Linux running on the Switch, and they claim that Nintendo cannot patch the exploit.

A few months ago the group announced that they had an exploit on the Switch and now we know what they did with it: installed Linux.

But this might also make it possible to install homebrew and pirated software, if people with the right skills get to work on it, and that is very likely to happen now that there is proof that Linux can run on the console.
