Of course the thundering success of the iPad has brought a lot of copy cats out of the woods, but here’s a team that might be able to put a dent in Apple: Google and Verizon are working on a tablet together!
When Verizon chief Lowell McAdam was asked by the Wall Street Journal what he thought the next big wave of opportunities were he replied: “We’re working on tablets together, for example. We’re looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience.”
So there you have it!
Asked to comment on the operating system this tablet device might be using Google kept surprisingly schtumm, they only said that “anyone” can use their OS to make phones and other devices.
Is this another nail in the coffin of the much awaited Chrome OS which, rumor has it, has been struggling?
