In the midst of the continuing patent wars, Samsung and Google have formed an alliance of peace. Said companies have a very strong partnership – Samsung makes some of the most popular Google products in the market. Now they feel like it’s time to take this relationship to… the next level.

Google and Samsung have signed a global cross-license patent agreement. They will share all current patents for the next 10 years, as well as the ones that may be filed during that period of time.

This agreement is very important for the tech industry. Both companies are of monumental proportions – them working together will only prove to be a brighter future for everyone.

“Samsung and Google are showing the rest of the industry that there is more to gain from cooperating than engaging in unnecessary patent disputes.” -Dr. Seungho Ahn, Head of Samsung’s Intellectual Property Center

This may also scare off some of the patent trolls out there who try to stop the competition, hence throttling innovation. Here goes for a better future with Google and Samsung!
