Google Now coming to Chrome for desktop?

Google Now’s exclusivity to Android may soon become a thing of the past. A rather important discovery was made after the latest update to Chromium. Developer François Beaufort discovered some dormant coding in Chrome’s backbone with support for Google Now cards.

Presumably, Google Now cards will appear in Chrome users’ screens via Chrome Notifications. Google is currently working on connecting Chrome with Google Now’s servers and coding geolocation features so the browser may take full advantage of Google Now’s potential.

With some luck and patience, we will all be enjoying Google Now in Chrome! Odds are Google will link your account between both platforms so that Google Now stays relevant across all your devices. One will then be able to get traffic (or any other) information straight from a computer, even if it was searched from a phone, earlier. Let’s hope this feature comes soon!
