Get to know the new Google Maps and sign up to test it

Google Maps received a complete re-design at Google IO 2013. To say the least, the new Google Maps looks amazing. It seems much more intuitive and helpful for finding what you need and what you didn’t think you wanted to see.

Google Maps’ new features include an awesome UI, a rating system, offers, Google Now-like cards, live traffic coverage and more. My personal favorite happens to be the new Google Earth view, which includes images of buildings in 3D, the location of the sun, earth’s live night/day view and more.

I could sit here and tell you all about it, but let’s let Google give you the official tour!

The new Google Maps will be available this summer, but you can request an invite from Google if you want to test it.
