Google has just launched the long-rumored Google+ Hangouts (previously known as Babel). The messaging service that would unify all of Google’s communication tools.
I believe we were expecting a bit too much and the Hangouts launch didn’t live up to expectations. It is not the amazing IM service that mixes Google Talk, Google Voice, Gmail, etc. It does break some great boundaries, though!
In short, it mixes Google+ Messenger, Google Talk and Google Hangouts video. These offer different features but really do the same thing – they allow us to socialize and communicate. What is the need for repetition? Now we can get in touch with Google Hangouts.
