Late last week, developer Sidebar Games released a trailer for their upcoming Nintendo Switch game Golf Story. From the looks of things, Golf Story appears to be an RPG take on a golfing game, complete with an actual story and various characters.
What’s more interesting is that the game appears to be leaning more on the “story” side of things than the golfing. Though the game obviously has moments where the player’s character will tee up, we’re not entirely sure how much control you’ll be given in comparison to more traditional games.
Will we choose the strength and direction of our swing like Mario Golf or will everything be tied to a list of commands like a turn-based RPG? I guess only time will tell. Once we hear more about the game, you can be sure we’ll let you know.
Golf Story is slated for a summer release on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
