UK retailer GAME to be exclusive eShop points distributor

Yesterday in my article about retailers and the lack of games available for the Wii U, many of you mentioned that some stores didn’t even carry Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShop cards in order to make purchasing digitally without a credit card easier. It’s interesting to note that today, UK retailer GAME has announced a partnership with Nintendo that will see that particular retail chain being the only official distributor of codes in the UK.

It’s not unlikely to assume that Nintendo also has partnerships with several other retailers here in the United States to make sure these codes are only distributed by high-profile retail outlets. I’m unfamiliar with the retail markets in the UK, but it seems poor form to have one chain be the sole outlet for Nintendo eShop points.
