Fortnite was just released on the Switch and the guys over at Digital Foundry wasted no time making a comparison video. They compared Fortnite on the Switch to the Xbox One version, and you can see the results in the video above.
Overall, they discovered that Fortnite’s resolution on the Switch is 900p when docked and 720p when in portable mode. Visual quality is scaled back a bit as well compared to the Xbox One version, but that’s no surprise.
As for frame rate, this seems to be the issue with Fortnite, as the frame rate hovers around 20 to 30 fps, depending on how many players are active and the location of the action.
