Today Nintendo of Europe announced that the special edition Splatoon Wii U bundle would be released in the region on June 19, which is several weeks after the May 29 launch date of just the game. The premium pack features a disc copy of Splatoon, a Wii U 32GB console, plus the GamePad controller. For those who haven’t picked up a Wii U yet and want to try out Nintendo’s newest IP, this will be the best way to do so.
Those in the United States will not have to wait as long as our friends in Europe, as Best Buy will be carrying the Splatoon bundle on May 29. The bundle is exclusive to Best Buy in the United States, but has no exclusivity deal with any specific retailer in Europe.
