Nitendo has posted their latest eShop update this morning and a lot of exciting new additions have made their way into the digital storefront. For starters, Nintendo is planning to add many more titles to their Super Smashing Sale which discounts games featuring Smash characters for up to 39% off in celebration of the upcoming Super Smash Bros release. Characters in this round of deals will include:
- Lucario
- Pikacu
- Samus
- Zero Suit Samus
- Charizard
- Greninja
- Wii Fit Trainer
- Mii Fighters
Sounds like a healthy helping of Metroid and Pokemon-related deals are incoming, though they haven’t yet listed which exact games will be getting discounted. Here are a few other sales going down that you won’t want to miss out on:

And for what you’ve all been waiting for — Smash Bros demo! The 3DS version of the game is getting a playable demo that will be available for download starting tomorrow, September 19th, at 9am pacific. The demo includes a whopping 5 playable characters — Link, Pikachu, Mario, Villager and Mega Man — who can fight on the Battlefield stage. The demo will not feature online play, but if you know a buddy with the 3DS who has also downloaded the demo you can both play against each other locally.
Sounds like a pretty good week on the eShop. Let us know if you’ll be looking to take advantage of any of these goods in the comments below!
