German EA survey has no mention of Nintendo products

Over the past year we’ve seen the “unprecedented partnership” between EA and Nintendo deteriorate into nothingness. EA supported the Wii U at launch with titles like Mass Effect 3, but shortly afterward the company began to pull support for Nintendo’s consoles, citing expensive research and development costs as the reason.

Numerous EA executives have gone back and forth on why EA currently isn’t supporting Nintendo but the clear reason seems to be that EA doesn’t think Nintendo consoles make enough money for game development on the platform to be lucrative. That fact is pretty much reinforced by a recent survey sent out to German-speaking people, where EA asks them to identify which consoles they plan on purchasing and what they play games on the most. In these two categories, there are no mention of either the Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS. Hmmm.
