EA is in “no rush” to make more Switch games

EA released FIFA 18 on the Switch a couple of months ago, and the game hasn’t sold that well on the new platform, accounting for only 1% of FIFA 18 sales during launch.

FIFA 18 sales on the Switch have improved since then, but not enough to warrant further investment from EA at the moment.

During an analyst conference call today, EA revealed that they are “in no rush” to make more Switch games and are now waiting until the console has been on the market for a full year before “deciding whether to release more games for it”.

That comes from EA CFO Blade Jorgensen. He said that the company is waiting to “fully understand what the demand is for the Switch” before committing more resources to the platform.

That’s according to the Wall Street Journal (it’s behind a paywall but you can read the snippet below).
