Mockup shows how DS games on Wii U GamePad might look

Nintendo recently announced that DS games were coming to the Wii U eShop. Which left many wondering: how are DS games gonna play on the Wii U and GamePad controller? A new video shows a mockup of just how that might look and work. And we have to say, it’s pretty darn good.

The GamePad is split into two screens, with the lower one functioning as the touchscreen. The video showcases several games, including Zelda; Cooking Mama, and more. The whole setup looks so good, we hope Nintendo uses it for the official DS games on Wii U. So far we’ve seen the two DS screens side by side in Nintendo’s own designs, but this looks a lot more intuitive.

Will you get any DS games on your Wii U? Let us know in the comments section!

UPDATE: As a few of our readers have already pointed out, this position of the GamePad is obviously better suited for games that rely heavily on the stylus instead of the D-pad and buttons.
