Dragon Ball FighterZ could come to Switch

Perhaps the biggest “surprise” (it was leaked beforehand, but still) announcement of E3 2017 was Dragon Ball FighterZ.

I know what you’re thinking “Lord, they’re still making Dragon Ball games?!” TO answer your hypothetical question, yes, yes they are! However, this is a little different from the arena-fighter games we’ve been getting lately. FighterZ is a 2.5D game, kind of in the style of Super Butoden on the SNES or the old Budokai games. What’s shocking is the fact that this game prominently features 3v3 battles. This means you can get your favorite team of three together and demolish your friends, compelte with the pretty effects you’d expect from a Dragonball game, only it’s by Guilty Gear Xrd developer Arc System Works so it’s even prettier!

The game is currently slated for an early 2018 release on PS4, XBox One, and PC. No Switch is a little disappointing, but Arc isn’t necessarily shooting down a port. In fact, they said they don’t have one ready to go right now, not because of technical limitations. FighterZ producer Tomoko Hiroki didn’t say the exact reason, but he did let fans know that if they showed interest, Arc could bring the game over. So, if you want this game on the Switch (I know I do!) then you should probably let Arc, Bandai Namco, and Nintendo know.
