Just in case you haven’t heard, Google is giving away a $30,000 scholarship to the winner of Doodle 4 Google. Only K-12 students can participate, so you might want to continue reading if you, or someone you know might want to be part of the challenge.

The challenge is to create a Google doodle that shows how you could make the world a better place if you could invent something. It seems pretty simple, but young artists will need to take full advantage of their creative juices. This is why Google asked Lindsey Scott, developer and Doodle 4 Google judge, to make a video to inspire the kiddos.

What is the prize?

We already mentioned the winner would get a $30,000 scholarship for college, but there is more to enjoy from this! Of course, the winner’s doodle will be features in Google’s homepage. In addition, the winner’s school will get a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant.

How can I participate

The process of submission is actually very simple. All you have to do is go to the Doodle 4 Google homepage and click on the “Get Started” button in the bottom. From there you simply download an entry form, fill out the details, do your drawing and submit it. Submission can be sent via mail or online.

You have until March 20th, 13 days from now. So get drawing, guys!

So there you have it! Try to get the kiddos in the family to participate. For more details, and to get started, check out the Doodle 4 Google website.
