Veteran game composer Alexander Brandon has revealed that he is now working with Retro Studios on a game and that it’s “incredibly exciting”. He revealed the news on Facebook, but didn’t get into more detail about what he’s working on.
Brandon has worked on a number of high profile games, such as Deus Ex, Unreal, and Thief: Deadly Shadows.
He didn’t reveal any news about what project he’s working on, only saying that it’s “incredibly exciting” and that the team at Retro Studios is “awesome”.
Retro Studios is owned by Nintendo and became famous for the Metroid Prime series. However, over the past many years the team has mostly worked on smaller projects for Nintendo, such as Donkey Kong Country Returns for the 3DS and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Wii U.
Hopefully we’ll know more about their project at E3 next month. And hopefully it’ll be a big game like Metroid.
