Nintendo’s Q1 earnings report contained lots of surprises, but no information was given about what the future holds for Nintendo in terms of finally entering the mobile market. It’s an announcement that shocked everyone when Iwata-san announced it earlier this year, with many fans waiting with bated breath to see what the first apps from this partnership will be like.
With DeNA having finally released their Q1 earnings report, we finally get a glimmer of hope about the upcoming Nintendo mobile partnership.

Buried in the announcement of their earnings and other information is a short byline that says “currently making announcement plans” in regards to the Nintendo partnership. There’s no hint as to when the announcement could be taking place, but given the hard spot Nintendo finds itself in this year it’s likely the push for this mobile partnership to get underway is coming heavily from both parties
