New Kickstarter project aims to make a Wii U GamePad for everything

One of the main reasons why many people decide to buy a Wii U is the GamePad. Aside from offering a unique way to interact with some games, the ability to put the game itself on the GamePad and then leave the TV open for roommates or other family members is an attractive option. Gamers are no longer limited to fighting over play time in a busy household. A new Kickstarter project wants to bring this concept to current-gen consoles and PCs and it looks a lot like what Nintendo has created in the Wii U GamePad.

The project is on Kickstarter and is called the Cross Plane, which aims to bring off-tv play for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The project is currently seeking $350,000 to get underway with the creation of this device, which uses what it calls Paks to convert the video from the console and stream it to the Cross Plane pad.
