Criterion says Need For Speed Most Wanted DLC could come to Wii U if there’s enough sales

Over the weekend we told you that developer Criterion had no plans to bring Need For Speed: Most Wanted DLC packs to the Wii U version of the game. However, according to a recent conversation between a developer and a fan, it could be possible if enough fan support is seen for the game. You can see the tweet in the image below:

It should be noted that the Wii U version of the game comes with the Ultimate Speed DLC as part of the standard package, but there are three other DLC packs that won’t be released in it, including the Terminal Velocity, Movie Legends and Heroes DLC packs.

It’s interesting to see developers flat out admit that they won’t put extra effort into bringing their product to the platform, but that’s been expected for some time. Developers don’t want to put in extra work to achieve mediocre sales on the console and most gamers aren’t willing to plop down $350 until something that interests them comes out. Hopefully Nintendo can resolve these problems quickly so the Wii U will stop suffering.
