The Chromecast came in blasting doors with a great price and awesome functionality, but Americans kept dibs on it until today. Things have just changed, though, Amazon is now selling and shipping the Chromecast worldwide!
The device will still cost $35, but some international customers may have to pay different rates for shipping. Regardless, you can now get it officially, but this does not mean everything will be supported officially.
Services are still subject to your country’s regulations. We know Netflix is not used everywhere. The same applies for the Google Play Store videos and the upcoming Hulu+. As of now, Chromecast users outside the US would still be very limited. More support is coming, though. Both from 3rd parties and official developers.
Until then, you can choose to wait or get your Chromecast from Amazon.com. Are you getting one?
