Chromecast has started its world tour, now available in 11 countries outside the USA. This is big news for Chrome fans, but 12 countries is still not enough for a device this popular. We need to take it all over the world, and it seems the next stop is Australia.

Anonymous sources have told CNET Australia that Google’s popular HDMI dongle. Unlike other times, we have a bit of details about where these sources come from. According to CNET Australia, this information comes from a TV station and a third-party developer.

Both sources point towards a May 7 release date, which is just over a month from now. Like any other leaks and rumors, we would advice that you take this information with a grain of salt. Even if Google was planning to launch the Chromecast in Australia, dates and other details could still change.
