Over the past few weeks, Ubisoft has been releasing new video content surrounding the creation of Child of Light. So far we’ve seen the world of Lemuria and what inspires the denizens within, as well as a unique concept artwork created by a famed Japanese artist to coincide with the release of the game. This week we get a taste of new music from the game, as well as a look at how Aurora came to be in terms of design.
If you’re unfamiliar with the premise of Child of Light, this is an excellent video to watch since you’ll learn the backstory for the game and why Aurora is journeying through Lemuria. With the focus on Aurora, you learn that while she’s a bit young, she has special powers and isn’t afraid to use them in order to help the people she meets along the way. The reason the story is described as a modern fairy tale is because the writing in the game is done so that each stanza rhymes as you venture throughout the game.
Child of Light will be available on April 29.
