If you were a fan of Steamworld Dig on either Wii U or Nintendo 3DS, you’re probably excited for Image & Form’s upcoming project, Steamworld Heist. The game was shown off earlier this year at GDC so we got to see a little bit of gameplay off screen, but this new trailer is the first that actually showcases how the game works.
Where as the first game was about exploration and puzzle solving, Steamworld Heist puts players in the shoes of Captain Piper and his rag-tag team of miscreant robots. Players will be able to scavenge the remains of the broken world to find new upgrades and items to help them board enemy spaceships. Combat is turn-based, so your skill in the game is determined by how well you manage your team of robots and their various abilities.
There’s no concrete release date for the game yet, but Image & Form expects to have it ready by fall 2015.
