Cave Story+ has been out for a few weeks now and it looks like people are loving every bit of the game.
One of the most interesting features of Cave Story+ is being able to switch between the numerous music styles the series has seen over its multiple releases. However, with this iteration, people were disappointed that they didn’t have the option to choose the classic Cave Story graphics. Well, Nicalis has heard your pleas and will be rectifying that oversight.

A tweet from the publisher shows that they’re working on a patch that brings the old graphic styling to the game, allowing you to further fine tine your Cave Story+ experience. Now, we’re not sure if you’ll be able to toggle the graphics on the fly like in Wonder Boy, but if it’s like what Nicalis has going with the music, you’ll need to be at the main menu to do that.
