Capcom has stated previously that the company was open to doing more Disney remastered editions of previous NES games, such as Darkwing Duck and Chip N’Dale Rescue Rangers. That statement seems to have changed, as on the Capcom Unity forums, Capcom employee Jimmy Rey has stated that the fate of remastered editions of these games will be decided by how well DuckTales Remastered performs.
“The better DuckTales does, the more likely we’ll do another.”
It’s not surprising to see Capcom have the wait-and-see attitude with future remastered releases, as DuckTales Remastered has been reviewing mediocre in the press. You can check out our review of the game here.
