Capcom has undergone a staff reorganization, resulting in the loss of senior vice president Christian Svensson. Svensson was a well known and active member on the Capcom Unity forums, often answering questions fans asked and posting news announcements about the latest Capcom games. The news was posted to Svensson’s Facebook page.

“I’ve had the opportunity to interface with the best fans any company could ever hope to have. I know that I wasn’t always able to deliver what they wanted, but I promise that I did my best to champion their needs and wants. So thank you to the fans who made my job rewarding, challenging, and, if nothing else, interesting.”

Capcom’s financials last year were underwhelming, which is why these layoffs have happened. Still, Svensson was a direct link to the fans from Capcom, often answering very detailed questions about games, including Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and several upcoming Capcom titles.
