Capcom has “some good stuff” coming to Wii U

Capcom, the publisher of the Resident Evil series, hasn’t so far shown any big support for the Wii U. In fact, the company has yet to announce a single Wii U game. That might change soon, as the company recently revealed that they have “some good stuff” coming to the Wii U, with announcements coming soon. Last year, Resident Evil producer Masachika Kawata said that he’d love to see Resident Evil on the Wii U.

Resident Evil 6And we might have a reason to get our hopes up. Capcom replied to questions on the official Capcom forums, where users asked about the lack of Wii U support. Capcom’s Vice President dropped by on the forums, saying, “Some good stuff is coming and I’d love to tell you more… but for now, I have to keep it a surprise“. So far, so good.

Capcom has shown great support for the Nintendo 3DS, bringing Resident Evil and Street Fighter to the portable. Some of the Capcom titles that could be well suited for the Wii U include Resident Evil, Lost Planet, and Dead Rising. Hopefully we’ll see some of those games on the Wii U soon. Capcom is currently developing Resident Evil 6 for several platforms.
