When Nintendo announced they’d bring back the Classic NES system in an ultra-portable, super nostalgic form, word spread like wildfire. It instantly became a must-have holiday hit and today you can finally buy it on Amazon. But be warned: it has already sold out at nearly every retailer and when Amazon makes it available – we’re hearing at 5PM Eastern – it could very possibly sell out in minutes.

Note that there are two versions:
- Edition: Console + One Controller
- Edition: Extra Controller
Don’t accidentally choose the “Extra Controller” option thinking you’ll get the NES Classic Edition Console and 2 Controllers- this option is for ONLY an extra controller. You’ll most likely want to buy both Editions which will yield you 1 Console and 2 Controllers.
Based purely on demand we’ve seen in social media channels, we think the NES Classic is likely to sell out quickly, with additional supply likely coming in waves throughout the holiday season. Long story short: if this is something you definitely want or want to give as a gift, you’d be smart to buy it now while supply lasts.

For huge Nintendo fans like us the NES Classic Edition is a must buy, even if only for purely nostalgic purposes.
