As Google’s popular Chromecast streaming device becomes more popular, we are starting to see it being offered by more retailers. It is really becoming a hit and it should be a great stocking stuffer for the holidays. Today we have found out you can buy the HDMI dongle from yet another major retailer – Walmart.
Walmart joins the Chromecast bandwagon by offering the Chromecast along with Google, Amazon, Best Buy, Motorola and Verizon. The price stays at $35 so there is not much new here, but Walmart holds a lot of retail power in the US (and other parts of the world). This means it will reach more eyes, and therefore, more shopping carts.
In-store availability should be limited for a while, but all stores near my area have it available for pick-up today. You should be ok if you live in a major city. Go get them while they are hot!
