Chromecast now available from Verizon, as well

The Chromecast is becoming quite the popular device lately. Of course, you can find this bad boy at Best Buy, Amazon, the Google Play Store and more recently even Motorola started offering. The Chromecast has just arrived at even more odd store shelves, though. Verizon Wireless has jumped in the bandwagon and even the #1 US carrier now has it for sell!

Verizon is making a bigger effort to become an accessory and smart device retailer. The wireless carrier lately announced its new and improves smart stores, where users can test products and accessories to their heart’s content (aside from smarpthones and tablets). The idea is very interesting and I can’t wait to see more of these stores showing up across the country. We will most likely be able to see the Chromecast in action at these stores.

As expected, Verizon is selling the Chromecast at the same $35 price point. Everything else is the same: the device works with Android 2.3+, iOS 6+, Windows and Mac. Which means most users will be able to enjoy it.

You can buy Google’s HDMI dongle straight from the Verizon website, and you will probably find it at your local stores soon enough. Right now might be the right time to get it, HBO Go just got Chromecast support and more apps are coming!
