There have been rumors that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will not run at 1080p on the Switch. Nintendo has confirmed this, saying that the game runs at 900p on the Switch and just 720p on the Wii U.
Both versions are limited to just 30 frames per second as well.
Nintendo didn’t clarify if the Switch version runs at 900p on the TV and the tablet, or if the tablet runs a different resolution.
While the Switch will have a slightly better resolution, Nintendo says that the game will also include “higher-quality environmental sounds” to create a more realistic game world.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on March 3rd alongside the Switch console. Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed some special editions of the game.
