Nintendo today revealed a bunch of sales figures for their consoles and games — for example, we now know that the Switch has outsold the Wii U’s lifetime sales, and we know that Super Mario Odyssey is a massive hit with 9 million copies sold.
Here’s another interesting bit of sales data: Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now the second best selling Zelda game of all time, and it will most likely become the best selling Zelda game of all time very soon.
Breath of the Wild has sold 6.7 million copies on the Switch and another 1.08 million copies on the Wii U. In total, that brings sales to 7.78 million copies worldwide.
Twilight Princess has sold just under 9 million copies today and it’s easy to see Breath of The Wild surpass that pretty soon.
