Super Smash Bros-type games have begun to get more and more popular not only as games that allow non-Nintendo owners to have a close rendition of the Smash experience, but to bridge the gap between official releases. With Brawlout, we’re seeing yet another Smash-inspired game, except this time it’s coming to a Nintendo platform.
The game prides itself for its ability to strike a “balance between the growing competitive scene and the genre’s party game roots.” Unlike Smash, though, there will be no blocking of any kind. Brawlout focuses primarily on all-out brawls with a roster of unique characters, including the Hyper Light Drifter protagonist. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
The game launches on Switch later this year.
