How to get the classic green tunic in BoTW without the amiibo

A few days ago I posted a guide to all of the amiibo that are compatible with Breath of the Wild. There are quite a few of them and some of them unlock special costumes that resemble the outfits worn by Link in their respective games. While that’s neat and all, what if you want the classic Green Tunic look without the amiibo? Is there a way to do that? Yep.

What You Need To Do

In order to get the three-piece set that resembles Classic Link, you’ll have to get the Wild Outfit that’s in the game. You can do that by completing all 120 shrines across the map. The hardest part about this isn’t doing the individual shrines, but finding them all. Once you’ve completed all of them (it doesn’t matter which order), the monk will say you’ve completed all of the trials and ask you to depart to the Forgotten Temple.

Behind a shrine there, you’ll notice three chests have appeared. Each chest will have a piece of the armor that gives you the classic Link outfit without having to scan any amiibo. While the amiibo route is certainly easier, we think completing all those shrines will net you more satisfaction.

Have you managed to finish all 120 yet? How close are you? Let us know in the comments.
