PlatinumGames hints at Bayonetta ports on Switch

Bayonetta is one of those special Nintendo titles we got on the Wii U. Without the Big N’s help, there might not have been a Bayonetta 2 in the first place, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the stylish gunslinger might be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Earlier this evening on Twtter, Bayonetta developer PlatinumGames posted a picture with the heroine in her Bayonetta 1 & 2 outfits, each with their own, uniquly colored backgrounds. What makes these images so special? Well, they’re colored red and blue, the same colors of the Neon Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons. This leads us, and others, to believe that this is the developer’s way to slyly hinting at future ports for the series on the Nintendo Switch.

With the Switch’s lineup for the rest of the year packed with heavy-hitting exclusives like Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, and Super Mario Odyssey, we have to wonder when the ports (which we assume would be in one package) would launch. Maybe sometime early 2018? After all, that’d be a pretty good way to start out a year with Metroid Prime 4.
