With Bayonetta joining the roster of Super Smash Bros., it seems as though the umbra witch is cemented as a character firmly ensconced in Nintendo. The creative director of Bayonetta 2, Yusuke Hashimoto, recently took to Twitter to thank fans for their long-term support of Bayonetta, alongside including a pretty cryptic message.
Thank you everyone for showing Bayonetta so much support.
Please continue to look forward to what's to come!

So what’s to come for Platinum Games? The studio is working on several new projects and while none of them are directly related to Bayonetta, could Hashimoto-san be teasing something here? Who knows. Up next from Platinum Games is Star Fox, Nier 2, and Scalebound.
